Fashion Council

The Oxmoor Center and Mall St. Matthews Fashion Council is comprised of children ages 6 -12, and teens ages 13-20. Applications are now available in the shopping center's management offices, with instructions for the upcoming 2011- 2012 year. Applications must be completed and returned to the offices for consideration. No e-mail or fax will be accepted. Members attend once a month training sessions in modeling and professional etiquette.

Mall St. Matthews supports Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville

Mall St. Matthews has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville to work on elimination of poverty housing in our community. This is a part of national partnership between General Growth Properties, (Mall St. Matthews's owner/management company) and Habitat for Humanity International.

Over the next three years, shoppers will be invited to participate in fundraising events, awareness campaigns and volunteer opportunities to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville. Check out the "events section" to get the details of our next Habitat for Humanity event.

Mall Walking Club

Get off on the right foot with the Get Healthy Walking Club!

There are many forms of exercise, but the simplest, least expensive and most accessible is walking. To get on the path to good health, Norton Healthcare encourages Kentuckiana residents to join its free Get Healthy Walking Club, a walking program for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Join the Get Healthy Walking Club, and Norton Healthcare will send you a Best Foot Forward Kit and notify you of activities to help you on your journey to a healthier lifestyle. Membership also provides special access to walking paths at Mall St. Matthews and Oxmoor Center.

Mall St. Matthews opens at 7:30am Monday-Saturday and 10am on Sunday to accommodate walkers. Walking the perimeter of the mall is 1.2 miles per lap.

Norton Mall Walking Club meets on the 2nd Monday of every month in the Food Court from 8:00am to 10:00am. Stop by for screenings, guest speakers and health tips.

Mall St. Matthews is proud to donate to Metro Louisville Habitat for Humanity ReStore to benefit our local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. When possible, construction materials are diverted from the landfill and donated for sale. Funds raised are used to build homes and help eliminate poverty housing in our communities. This program is a part of a national partnership between Habitat for Humanity and General Growth Properties.

AMBER Alert Notifications Uniting America to Protect All Children

The first few hours are the most important when it comes to finding missing children. When there is an active AMBER Alert in the community, signage will be placed in the mall in high traffic locations. Thousands of shoppers will have access to the information, giving tremendous advantage to law enforcement working against the clock to reunite these children with their families.
